It would be best if …

Often, (deluded) people say, “Oh Erin, you’d be SO fun to shop with!” as well as then we really GO buying as well as I drive them to determined tears. since I am the queen of “This would be best if …” in which I utter the above crazymaking phrase as well as proceed to (metaphorically) rip whatever it is that is being provided for consideration to (again metaphorical) shreds. since the buttons are wrong. Or the shoulders are as well puffy. Or the collar doesn’t lie right, or any type of of ten thousand things that would not, in fact, spoil anyone’s pleasure however mine, as well as I’m not the one shopping.

After four or five hours of this a lot of people are like “please, please, just let me hand over a credit score card for something! Anything! I don’t care!”

(This doesn’t hold true for vintage shopping, by the way. I have goaded lots of a strong lady into getting things that will never, ever be worn, just by repeating “it’s so lovely as well as you will never discover anything else like it!” up until I get rid of all resistance.)

So. ::rummaging around for a point, not discovering one, discarding out handbag, ah! there it is:: Madelene (who is now quite much an official member of the gown A Day street Team) sent this DVF gown from Neiman’s as well as … it would be best if: 1) it weren’t polyester taffeta (jeebus, for $425, it must be rayon taffeta at least!) as well as 2) didn’t have breast pocket flaps. as well as potentially (2.5) if it had somewhat a lot more tailored sleeves. I like the concept of the taffeta evening shirtdress, I just want it a bit less … shirty. ideal now the rolled-up sleeves seem to state “Hey! I’m prepared to party! Or maybe to fund-raise! Let’s go! Feed those orphans! Whoot!”

Also, I believe any type of celebration gown that’s great in black would be even much better in deep bottle green.

Other than that, it’s perfect! Thanks, Madelene!

But let’s not talk about the shoes. They look truly painful. I believe she’s standing in that funny hip-cocked stance not since she’s a model, however since she cannot put any type of weight on her feet.
